The Good News

The Gospel is the good news that God became man in Jesus Christ.  He lived the life we should have lived and died the death we should have died -- in our place.  Three days later, He rose from the dead, proving He is the Son of God and offering the gift of salvation and forgiveness of sins to everyone who repents and believes in Him.

 Accept - that you are a sinner and God's punishment for your sin is death and separation from God forever.

         "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."  Romans 3:23

Believe - that Jesus paid God's price for your sin when He died on the cross.

         "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.   “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.."   John 3:16-18

Confess - and repent of your sin and come to Jesus by faith.  The gift of eternal live is yours already - all you have to do is receive it.

         "But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  Romans 10:8-9

If you can, come see our pastor, a member of our church, a Christian friend, or a pastor nearby; however, if HOLY SPIRIT is convicting you and leading you to ACT now, then to Accept the Gift, believe, sincerely mean, and pray this prayer.

         "Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you.  I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again.  I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer.  I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward.  Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life.  In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
